The local Newspaper Solabladet joined a surfing session in the ice cold North Sea in October. Typical Norwegian conditions.
The top of the surfboard.
This is a simple one color design, in a color that I like very much.
The art is done with Posca pens.
First the board is sanded with fine sand paper, then painted. After it is dryed, 3-4 layers of clear finish is sprayed on to protect the colors.
I have fallen in love with Hayden Shapes boards. So this is my second one. This is a 5´10 performance board, and Pro model of Craig Anderson. It is named “The Ando”.
I have been printing a few t-shirts with assorted designs inspired by Jæren, the Norwegian West Coast.
They go under the name KANT.
Jæren, in old norse, means “kanten mot havet”, english “the edge toward the sea”.
I print the t-shirts downtown Stavanger, and I use water based colors that are environmental friendly.
I had a booth at Lydbølger Festival. See pictures here.
Fourteen 3 year old kids from Bjergsted Barnehage (kindergarden) on visit making art.
It was a creative and fun day.
Thanks for the visit!
Here´s my contribution to the Anti Denim 666 Frames.
My contribution above is my assigned frame, No. 003, merged with my acrylic painting. Anti´s 666 Frames project is a international project including artists from all over the world including a movie, book and exhibition.
It is a dark project, yet I add my colorful shades. My handcrafted framework are tinted ash black, and canvas is applied with black gesso.
…and here I am just finished with the painting that measures 3,6 x 2,0m.
Here is a timelapse of the painting:
